The Sensory Paws enrichment service can be experienced either at our purpose-built day care centre, or can be brought to you at home. This option ensures that your pet can remain in their safe and familiar environment, with no worry of unwanted interactions or interruptions. Sensory Paws enrichment benefits dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and capabilities, but can be especially rewarding for puppies and kittens, seniors, reactive dogs, and those recovering from operations or on reduced exercise.
The sessions based at Premier Paws are run once a month, by appointment, so that the larger equipment can be utilised alongside the mobile service.
Whether you are looking to give your beloved pet a fun activity; expand their interactions; provide mental stimulation; or help them release anxiety, we can help. Covering Banbury, Brackley and surrounding villages, our sessions are carried out by experienced, knowledgeable, qualified handlers, to ensure you and your pet get the best experience possible.
With multiple options available, you can choose to offer your pet an enriched environment, ACE freework, or brain puzzles. The time your pet has to enjoy their session is separate from set up and take down. We also welcome multiple dog or pet households to share one of our longer sessions. Each session includes a selection of appropriate treats for one pet. All equipment is sanitised between uses, with multiple sets and items to choose from.
The equipment used is all pet safe and has been chosen specifically to offer the best experience possible. We adapt the equipment used for each individual based on the information you give us, thus allowing us to provide a bespoke and personal service.
The brain puzzle sessions include a minimum of four different puzzles of various skill levels. We can help guide beginners through these so that they experience the satisfaction of achievement.
The ACE freework sessions offer various interactions, with different surfaces, heights, foodstuffs, scents, and textures. Engagement of all your pets’ senses is a great way to relieve stress, increase cognitive ability and promote well-being.
The enriched environment sessions combine the brain puzzles and ACE freework to give the best of both. It will include items such as ball pools, novel surfaces to walk on, poles, natural chews and treats, safe plants and herbs, snuffle mats, and items that move.
Your pets will be fully supervised at all times during the sessions. Individual capabilities will be taken into account and supported. We ask that you are present for your pet’s first session, but we can make arrangements for follow up sessions to be completed without you being present. For example, one of these sessions could be used to break up your pet’s day while you are at work. The sessions will be completed outdoors wherever possible.
Testimonials
Prices for the sessions are as follows:
£25.00 (excl. VAT) for 30 minutes – for individual pets
£40.00 (excl. VAT) for 45 minutes – for two pets
£0.50 (excl. VAT) per mile travelling costs outside of our normal five mile range
Please contact us to discuss your requirements, if you want to book for more than two pets, or to arrange for us to come to your club/group for sessions.
Upon booking, a fifty percent non-refundable payment must be made either in cash or by bank transfer. The remainder of the payment will be due at the end of each session and can be made by cash, bank transfer or card.
